Subject: Back in the day..........
Another "here today, gone tomorrow" mystery at the Archive. I downloaded a 79 minute version in 2009 and now it's gone. From the looks of mine, it is the 74 minute version with a studio added happy ending for all.

kat1979 wasn't kidding! I downloaded all 9 segments of The Lodger from You Tube 4-19-2010 and they were gone 4-21-2010. The "end" of the Internet Archive video seems to be about 2 minutes into chapter2 of the You Tube videos. Will have to edit them to get a clean continuity. Thanks for contributing a great movie.

I know that this is incomplete, and I apologize. I've had serious problems getting the entire film uploaded. I will continue to try.

That said, this early Hitchcock film (although silent) really marks his presence and was primarily responsible for launching his career.

Any student of film or of Hitchcock should really take the time to watch this one.

Again, I apologize for the upload not being complete. I will continue to try to get this classic uploaded.

Subject: Slow start, but good.
Little problem with the audio and poor lighting starting off, and a bit blurry, but it does get pretty interesting when the killer Lodges at the house of a pretty fair-haired lady, with whom he begins to take romantic interest and her parents soon begin to suspect. Nice early Hitchcock and worth watching.
